What is our plan?
To build an all-inclusive playground.  As Hudson continues to undergo a transformative and energy-filled revitalization, it is still missing a very important component to our community, an all-inclusive playground. We need a place where young and old can come together to play, learn, socialize, and thrive. This is the goal of Smile2Play. The playground will be built on the Universal Design concept, which goes beyond the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and creates access for as many people as possible. The guiding principles behind Universal Design include flexibility in use, low physical effort, and tolerance for error, especially for those with disabilities. It is the new gold standard in playground design by creating an environment that meets the needs of all children, despite their developmental delays.

Our Goal.
The Smile2Play team is determined and motivated to reach our goal of $500,000 over the next two years, in order to pay for state-of-the-art universal Design compliant playground equipment, rubberized surfacing, and other key items. We need your help. Please see additional information included on how you, your family, or your business can help us reach our goal and be a part of something that will leave a lasting impact on
Hudson and its surrounding communities for years to come.

Special Thanks To Our Sponsors:
“What a wonderful cause and I would be proud to donate! I had a cousin who was two weeks older than I who died of MS in 2002, and we always were inseparable at the beach at Ocean Park when growing up. When she got so bad and was confined to a wheelchair, her family would bring her to a rental in Kinney Shores but there was no way to get her near the beach or ocean. To think of so many children who are missing out on the beach experience is heartbreaking. We’ll donate online and wish you the best!”
Love, Ellen & Steve
